History and Mission
The City of Farrell is committed to the belief of equal rights for all citizens. A commitment to this has resulted in the adoption of an Ordinance creating the Farrell Human Relations Commission. The FHRC comprises nine individuals appointed by the Mayor to 4-year terms. The Commission meets at least 6 times a year in public sessions. The Commission has the power to hear, investigate and enforce the City's Human Relations laws. The FHRC also provides guidance and support to individuals in their efforts in filing complaints through the PA Human Relations Commission.

The law and the Farrell Human Relations Commission deal with discrimination in the areas of Employment, Education, Housing and Public Accommodation and Commercial Property.
